Rooms and presence
Play alongside other people: in a public room for a market, or in a private room you share by invite code.
Public and private rooms
- Public rooms are open to everyone. Each one follows one market. There are three official ones, one per market: BTC-USD, ETH-USD and SOL-USD. Anyone can also create a public room.
- Private rooms are joined with an invite code. Create one, pick its market, and share the code with your crew. A private room is invisible to anyone who isn't a member: it never shows up in a list, and asking for it answers "not found".
A room shows its members who appear by name, how many people are in it right now, and a feed of those members' taps.
Presence
The "here now" count only counts people who are actually connected: an open live connection that has checked in within the last 30 seconds. The app checks in every 15 seconds while a room is on screen. When you leave, you drop off the count within 30 seconds. guarantee
The count includes only connected users, with no bots or padding, and an empty room says it is empty.
The room feed
The feed shows real taps by room members: accepted taps and their results, with the market, multiplier, stake and net result, and a link to the replay. A tap shows up in a room's feed only if it was made in that room.
Whether you appear by name is a setting of each room you belong to, not one switch for the whole app:
- When you join a room, you appear in its feed by default. Joining is the opt-in.
- You can turn it off for that room alone. Then your taps in that room don't appear in its feed, you aren't listed among its members, and you aren't on that room's leaderboard. Your other rooms keep their own settings.
- The check is made whenever the feed is read, so turning it off, or leaving the room, hides your earlier items too.
- The account-level setting ("show me in feeds") is a different switch, off by default. It controls where your name appears outside rooms: on the global leaderboards and on your public replays. It does not change any room's setting, and a room's setting does not change it.
Feeds show practice boxes only.
