Disconnect and revoke
You can cut strikeabox off from your Strike account at any time.
Before you disconnect
Close your open live boxes first. Once you disconnect, strikeabox can no longer act on your Strike account. A position that is still open stays open on Strike, with whatever target and stop orders are still resting there, and no time exit. You would have to manage it yourself in the Strike app (testnet.strikefinance.org on the hosted app). The app tells you how many boxes are still open when you disconnect.
If you connect the same wallet (the same Strike account) again, strikeabox can use the new key to check those boxes again and carry on managing them.
Disconnect in strikeabox
Use Disconnect in the Live settings. strikeabox:
- deletes the encrypted API wallet key immediately. There is no copy. Without it, nobody, including strikeabox, can sign for that key again. This is called crypto-shredding.
- marks your Strike link as disconnected, so Live mode asks you to connect again before the next entry;
- shows you how to revoke the key at Strike as well.
Revoke at Strike
After a disconnect, the key's public half is still registered at Strike until it expires or is revoked. Its private half is gone, so it can't be used. To remove it from your account anyway, open the Strike app (testnet.strikefinance.org on the hosted app) with the same wallet and revoke the strikeabox API wallet in your account's API wallet settings.
Reconnecting revokes the old key
Each time you connect, Strike revokes any earlier API wallet for your account and the strikeabox builder, and activates the new one. Only one strikeabox key is ever active on your account.
When Strike revokes or expires the key
API wallets created through Builder Connect have an expiry date, and you can revoke them at Strike yourself. When Strike answers authentication failed or wallet expired or revoked, strikeabox marks your link as revoked and Live mode asks you to connect again. Practice mode is unaffected.
If you had a live box open at that moment, strikeabox can't close it. Check your positions in the Strike app.
